July 27, 2011 - 02:41 pm
In a tweet Wednesday afternoon, Denver Broncos Executive Vice President John Elway said that his team had acquired defensive tackle Jeremy Jarmon from the Washington Redskins in exchange for wide receiver Jabar Gaffney.
2011 will be Gaffney's 10th season in the NFL, spending his first nine years with Houston, New England and the Broncos. Last season, Gaffney caught 65 passes for 875 yards and two touchdowns.
Jarmon was entering his third year with the Redskins. He played in just five games for Washington last season, recording three tackles and half a sack.
Washington selected Jarmon in the 2009 Supplemental Draft.
