Sergio Kindle returning to Ravens after head injury
OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) — Baltimore Ravens linebacker Sergio Kindle feels like a rookie at training camp, even though this is his second NFL season.
Kindle never suited up last year after falling down a flight of stairs in July. The former second-round draft pick has been cleared by doctors to return, and is eagerly running through drills at practice this week.
A former standout linebacker at Texas, Kindle says it feels great to be back playing football — although he acknowledges that the two three-hour practices he's participated in thus far have been very taxing.
Kindle and the Ravens will practice in full pads for the first time Saturday.
Baltimore also signed its No. 1 draft pick from this year, Colorado cornerback Jimmy Smith, who participated in his first practice Friday.
