July 28, 2011 - 01:11 pm
Wide receiver Torrey Smith became the first of the Baltimore Ravens' draft picks to sign with the team, inking a four-year deal with the team Wednesday, MASN reports.
The Ravens took smith, a productive receiver out of Maryland, in the 2nd round of the 2010 draft.
Smith caught 67 passes for 1,055 yards and 12 touchdowns last season for the Terrapins, helping them to a victory in the Emerald Bowl after an 8-4 season.
He was only the second receiver in Maryland history to receive for more than 1,000 yards in a season.
