Traffic pattern change on U.S. Route 29 in Montgomery County

A traffic pattern change on U.S. Route 29 in Montgomery County in relation to the ICC project will take effect on July 20, according to the Maryland State Highway Administration.
On that date, all southbound traffic on Route 29 will be routed onto a new ramp to access both directions of Fairland Road in advance of construction on a segment of the Intercounty Connector.
The relocated ramp will be about one-third of a mile before the existing Fairland Road intersection.
Lanes on southbound Route 29 will be closed starting at 8 p.m. on July 19 to being making chances to the traffic pattern.
