WASHINGTON (AP) - Federal officials in Washington are returning Iraqi artifacts that were illegally brought into the United States.

The artifacts will be returned at a repatriation ceremony Thursday morning at the Iraq Cultural Center on Connecticut Avenue.

The artifacts include a collection of Saddam Hussein-era items and ancient terra cotta relief plaques and a Western Asiatic necklace.

Among the officials expected to attend are the Iraq ambassador to the United States, the deputy director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Kumar Kibble, and James McJunkin, the assistant director in charge of the FBI's Washington field office.
