Video released of armed robbery at Subway restaurant in Silver Spring
Police have released the surveillance video of the July 2 armed robbery of a Subway restaurant in Silver Spring.
On that Saturday evening shortly before 7:40 p.m., a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt came into the store, pulled out a small silver revolver, jumped over the counter, and ordered the cashier to open the cash register.
The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and fled the Subway store on foot.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 30 years old, 5’9”, and 230-250 pounds. He was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, gray shorts, and white tube socks.
Anyone who has information about this robbery or the suspect involved is asked to call Montgomery County Police at 240-773-5100.
