Weekend Metro delays on red, orange lines
July 22, 2011 - 06:05 am
WASHINGTON (AP) - Metro says weekend track work will cause delays of up to 30 minutes on the red and orange lines.
Metro will begin track work Friday at 10 p.m. and continue work through Sunday. Metro says customers traveling on the orange line can expect delays of 30 minutes on one section of the line. Buses will replace trains between the East Falls Church and West Falls Church stations because of construction.
Red line travelers can also expect up to 30 minute delays. Red line trains will share one track between Dupont Circle and Judiciary Square to allow for ceiling repairs and other work.
On the green line, trains will share one track between Navy Yard and Anacostia as crews do track work, but no delays are expected as a result.
