CABIN JOHN, Md. (AP) — A woman who was part of a group paddling down the Potomac River in a large raft was rescued and taken to a hospital.
The Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service used boats and a helicopter to help the woman Sunday morning in an area of the river near Cabin John.
Capt. Oscar Garcia says the woman was in a large raft when she encountered trouble. Garcia says she was in distress and had minor injuries, but he did not know the woman's age or specific injuries.
