1 killed when car, motorcycle collide
A motorcyclist was killed early Sunday morning when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car in Fairfax, police said.
Fred Timothy Hall, 53, of the 4400 block of Forest Hill Drive in Fairfax, was killed when he was ejected from his motorcycle in a crash, police said.
At 1:03 a.m., Fair Oaks Police responded to the area of Lee Highway and Buckley's Gate Manor for a crash involving a motorcycle and a car.
Hall was driving a 1981 Harley Davidson at a high rate of speed west on Lee Highway when he hit the back of a 2008 Toyota Camry that was turning right onto Lee Highway.
Hall was ejected and pronounced dead on the scene The driver of the car, a 17-year-old girl, was treated for minor injuries at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital.
Police believe speed was a factor in the crash. Minutes before the crash occurred, police in the area had been notified of a speeding motorcycle.
