August 5, 2011 - 05:03 pm
As many as 10,000 voters may have received incorrect information about their polling place, ARLNow.com reports.
The information includes outdated precinct information and wrong polling place addresses, the site said. The county is mailing new voter registration cards to 10,000 voters.
Arlington County Registrar Linda Lindberg told the site that a computer programming error caused the mistakes. A letter explaining the errors will be sent along with a new voter registration card.
Some voters who have received correct cards may also get a second card because it’s not clear how many of the initially-sent mailings were incorrect.
