Alfred Edward Cannon pleads guilty to impersonating a federal officer
A 45-year-old Springdale, Md., man has pleaded guilty to impersonating a federal officer.
Authorities said Alfred Edward Cannon posed as a Deputy U.S. Marshal and offered to help a person with getting a job at the marshals’ service.
Cannon, on several occasions, displayed a U.S. Marshals’ badge to the person, a member of the public, authorities said.
Cannon also allegedly asked for several hundred dollars from the person to help them get the job.
He is set to be sentenced on Nov. 10 and faces up to three years in prison.
