August 19, 2011 - 08:43 am
A fire at a Beltsville home early Friday morning caused about $150,000 in damage and injured one firefighter, authorities say.
Beltsville Volunteer and Prince George's County Firefighters responded to the home at the intersection of Harford Avenue and Queen Anne Avenue at about 12:30 a.m. to find the two-story house, which was under construction, engulfed in flames.
The fire took just over an hour to extinguish. A firefighter was treated and released from an area burn unit after a flying ember made contact with him.
About 45 firefighters and paramedics responded to the call. The cause is still under investigation.
