ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) - A jury has ruled in favor of the security firm once known as Blackwater and rejected two ex-employees' claims that the company overbilled the State Department for its work in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The jury's verdict Friday in federal court in Alexandria ends a two-week civil trial brought by former employees Brad and Melan Davis. They alleged that Blackwater, now known as Xe Services, falsified travel and labor records so it could defraud the government by overbilling for its work.

Blackwater's lawyers argued that the Davises fundamentally misunderstood the company's billing records and irresponsibly claimed fraud despite a lack of evidence.

Many of the allegations in the lawsuit, first filed in 2008, were tossed out by the judge before they even got to the jury.
