Man's body found in burning vehicle in Md.

Police have identified the victim whose body found locked inside the trunk of a burning car on Jefferson Heights Drive in Fairmount Heights early Wednesday.

The man is 34 year-old Antwain Elisha Henderson, Prince George’s County police said in a news release.

Police and fire units responded to a report of a vehicle fire early Wednesday in the 5600 block of Jefferson Heights Drive in Fairmount Heights, Prince George's County Police said.

Patricia Quick, who lives on that street, says she woke up just before 5 a.m. and saw the car burning almost in front of her home.

Cpl. Mike Rodriguez, a police spokesperson, says once the fire was under control they discovered the body inside the locked trunk, burned beyond recognition.

The body was taken to the Medical Examiner's Office. Rodriguez says homicide detectives are investigating.
