Beltway lanes reopen after morning crash
August 10, 2011 - 08:52 am
A dump truck slammed into an overpass on the Capital Beltway Outer Loop Wednesday morning, clogging traffic.
The accident occurred at 7:16 a.m. at Route 337 Allentown Road/Forestville Road and blocked two right northbound lanes, according to the Maryland State Highway Administration and Maryland Sate Police.
There were no reported injuries, but delays as lanes, the inner-loop access ramp and Forestville Road were closed.
Lanes on NB I-95 at Forestville Road were set to open around 4:20 p.m. The Forestville Road Bridge is open to sedan traffic only, no trucks, until repairs are made, the State Highway Administration said.
