Cyclist struck near Clifton and 11th Street NW

A cyclist was seriously injured Tuesday morning after being struck by a car in Northwest, police say.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Clifton Street and 11th Street NW just before 8:30 a.m.

The cyclist was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Several lanes of traffic are blocked while police investigate.
