D.C. earthquake: Aftershocks likely, but you might not feel them

In the aftermath of the 5.8 earthquake that rattled the D.C. metro area and the East Coast on Tuesday, aftershocks are likely to rattle the region for a significant period of time.
However, you probably will not feel the vast majority of them.
According to the U.S. Geological Society, there have been at least five recorded aftershocks after the original quake hit at about 1:51 p.m. Tuesday.
The largest recorded aftershock was a 4.5 temblor that struck early Thursday morning.
