Metrorail will operate normally Wednesday morning after crews spent all night inspecting the tracks and structures for damage.

Rail service is expected to operate at normal speeds for the start of the day, and bus and MetroAccess services are also expected to operate normally.

Following yesterday's earthquake, Metro slowed to 15 m.p.h. to allow for inspection of the system's infrastructure. 

The Maryland Transit Administration says there will be enough conductors and engineers to operate MARC on full service a day following the East Coast earthquake.

The MTA, however, says that it has been warned by CSX Transportation that some trains may be running late on Wednesday in order for employees to get their federally-mandated rest time between shifts. Customers are advised to check the MTA's website and e-alert messages for updates on any late trains.

Amtrak trains will have normal service between Washington and Baltimore, and VRE trains expect to have normal service too.

Train customers experienced major delays because of Tuesday's earthquake, which forced the service to be temporarily halted. Trains were later operating at reduced speeds once operations resumed.

On the other hand, D.C. Bikeshare reported that rides were up from 1,090 on Monday to 5,847 rides on Tuesday. Between 2 - 4 p.m., 1,236 rides were reported, an increase from 812 the day before.
