SEVEN-YEAR ITCH: Per the L.A. Times, “If the Oscars need a host, Billy Crystal is ready to talk. That was the message that came across this weekend when Crystal, who hosted the show eight times between 1990 and 2004, answered a fan who asked an Academy Awards question after a 20th anniversary screening of "City Slickers" in Santa Monica. Crystal, from the stage of the Aero Theatre, admitted that he got "itchy" after last year's cameo on the Oscars and that he'd be ready to talk about a return to the global stage of the gala.” http://lat.ms/oHAK5K

WARREN BUFFETT’S POINT: Per Radar, “Jay-Z is big pimpin’ and spendin’ his G’s! The rapper and hip hop mogul partied at a Miami nightclub on Sunday night in celebration of his new album with Kanye West, Watch The Throne, and RadarOnline.com has confirmed he dropped a whopping $250,000 on champagne.” http://bit.ly/qjIYRV

WHO KNEW?: Per indieWIRE, “David Lynch, recording artist? You heard that right. The visionary auteur, who hasn’t directed a feature film since 2006’s “Inland Empire,” will make his solo debut as a musical artist this fall with the album “Crazy Clown Time.” http://bit.ly/q8Zn47

THERE’S ALWAYS BIG TIME RUSH: Per the Guardian, “Time was when rock stars, and not just the Clash, used to have lots to say about lots of very big, important things. Or so I'm told. The truth is that in my eight years as a music journalist, I've never found one.” http://bit.ly/oYBJZP

TAME IS LAME: Per the Huffington Post, "The Voice," NBC's new singing competition, was always meant to be a competitor to "American Idol," with its different format and bigger celebrity judges. Now, one of those big name stars just upped the ante. In a cover story for Out Magazine, Maroon 5 lead man and winning coach Adam Levine ripped the reigning champ of reality TV, calling them out for their alleged policy on gay contestants.” http://huff.to/neDVb8

The Express reports that she’ll appear in several episodes of Days of Our Lives, on which her father has appeared for the past 24 years, in an attempt to save her dad’s job. NBC is looking to ax the show for poor ratings, but Jen hopes she can boost those ratings.” http://bit.ly/oqg9Af

THIS BEGS A QUESTION: Per TMZ, “Pretty ironic -- Gene Simmons, who called Michael Jackson a hard-core pedophile, will perform at the MJ Tribute Concert. Katherine Jackson was on CNN this AM, talking about the concert, when promoters revealed that KISS would be performing. Yet Gene Simmons went on record last year -- mind you, a year after MJ died -- saying, "There is no question in my mind he molested those kids. Not a doubt." http://bit.ly/nXH7xR

VERY, VERY IMPORTANT: Per the AP, “Paris Hilton is suffering a new bout of cellphone drama. The heiress-turned-TV star reportedly lost two mobile devices on a flight to the Philippines for a visit to promote a hotel resort. In 2005, hackers gained access to Hilton's Sidekick cellphone and famously splashed the private mobile numbers of her celebrity friends online.” http://apne.ws/oUQqHA
