Deven Angel Matos wanted in Glenarden toddler shooting
August 24, 2011 - 12:41 pm
The 18-year-old man wanted in connection with the shooting of a toddler in Glenarden turned himself in Friday.
Deven Angel Matos was wanted on charges of attempted second-degree murder, first and second degree assault and reckless endangerment.
On the night of Aug. 21, a young boy just short of his 2nd birthday was struck in the face by a bullet in the 3000 block of Brightseat Road in Glenarden. The child remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
An investigation determined that the child was inadvertently hit with a stray bullet when two suspects began shooting in the apartment complex. The boy was hit as he was being held by the mother.
