Driver killed when motorist attempts U-turn

A driver was killed when a second vehicle tried to make a U-turn in White Plains, Md. Tuesday.
At 7:52 p.m., a silver 2011 Chevrolet Impala was traveling north on U.S. Rt 301 when the driver, Stephanie Ann Orbits, attempted to make a U-turn southbound at DeMarr Road.
Philip Lyle Woodford, Jr. was traveling south on Rt. 301 in a red 2009 Honda Shadow. Orbits failed to yield a right of way and hit Woodford, killing him on the scene.
Orbits was not injured.
No other information was immediately available.
