EMS working to rescue injured crane operator 150 feet in the air

D.C. Fire and emergency personnel have rescued an injured construction worker from the top of a 150-foot-tall crane in Northwest early Monday morning.
The man, who was at a construction site at 2400 14th Street NW, was taken in critical condition to an area hospital.
Crews responded to the call at about 7:20 a.m. and say it took them nearly an hour to set up rescue equipment before bringing the worker to the ground.
