Expect delays on MARC's Penn Line due to Irene
August 29, 2011 - 06:57 am
BALTIMORE (AP) - The Maryland Transit Administration is warning travelers to expect delays on MARC's Pen Line train due to Hurricane Irene.
The MTA says the Penn Line train is operating on an "S," or limited schedule Monday. The agency says Amtrak, which operates the Penn Line, suffered extensive damage from Hurricane Irene. The Penn Line runs between Baltimore's Penn Station and Union Station in Washington, with some trains going farther north, to Perryville in Cecil County.
The MTA says the Camden and Brunswick lines will have full service. Local buses and the subway service also will operate on their regular schedules.
