Man and woman shot to death in Fort Washington
Prince George’s County police are investigating a double homicide in Fort Washington.
Police spokesperson Henry Tippett says a man called 911 and told police he discovered a man and woman shot in a home in the 11800 block of Hickory Drive shortly after 4:30 a.m. Thursday.
When emergency personnel arrived, both victims were dead. Police found the bodies of one man and one woman on the main level of the house. Both were dead from gunshot wounds.
Police have identified the victims as 56-year-old Patricia Mercer Harris and 20-year-old Frank Lamar Harris.
Police say there was no sign of forced entry or any evidence of someone breaking into the home.
Police are questioning a third resident of the home at police headquarters. That person, an adult male, was the one who made the 911 call. He said he came home to find the two bodies.
On his Facebook page, Frank alluded to a violent incident that had rattled him recently.
"The most I would ever do is fight and that's only after being provoked," the post on Facebook reads. "When it comes to situations with weapons, I get scared and I'm not ashamed."
