EDGEWATER, Md. (AP) - Anne Arundel County authorities say a man was rushed to the hospital after being pulled from Whitemarsh Creek in Edgewater.
Anne Arundel County Fire Division Chief Michael Cox says a man in his late 50s or early 60s was unresponsive when he was pulled out of the water on Sunday afternoon. Cox says the man apparently had jumped into the creek to retrieve a bag. People who saw the man go under jumped in and pulled the man out of the water and began administering CPR until medical crews arrived.
Cox says the man had suffered cardiac arrest and was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis in serious condition.
