The Prince George's County Sheriff's office arrested a man on a 1984 warrant for first degree rape.
Police arrested Michael Ross Harris, who had a warrant out for his arrest for not appearing at a 1984 court date. Police found him in the 12000 block of Shadystone Terrace in Mitchellville, Md. and took him into custody without incident.
He was initially arrested in May 1984 and charged with two counts of first degree rape, one count of second degree rape and one count of child abuse for allegedly abusing his 13-year-old daughter.
He posted bond for those charges and was released. He later didn’t appear at his scheduled court hearing.
