Montgomery County sheriff's deputy injured in crash

A Montgomery County sheriff's deputy was injured in a serious crash in Rockville. Her injuries are serious but non-life threatening.
The crash happened around 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of Maryland Avenue and Monument Street, a Rockville City Police spokesperson says. Fire officials say a woman has been taken to a hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
The deputy was in a marked cruiser. Police say the intersection is closed. Rockville City Police are investigating.
