Multiple lane closures on I-95 near Lorton in coming weeks

LORTON, Va. (AP) - Late-night drivers on southbound Interstate 95 near Lorton can expect heavy delays due to construction in coming weeks.
Beginning Monday night at 9 p.m., the Virginia Department of Transportation plans to close three southbound lanes between exits 163 and 161 for pavement work until 5 a.m. Tuesday. Similar closures are expected on Monday through Thursday nights over the next three weeks.
VDOT says that particular stretch of I-95 carries about 212,000 vehicles a day.
