NASA's Future Forum to discuss exploration benefits

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) - NASA is bringing its Future Forum series to the University of Maryland's College Park campus.
The space agency says it will hold its first Future Forum of 2011 on Thursday. The forum brings NASA astronauts, scientists and engineers together with local, state and federal officials to discuss how space exploration benefits the economy and education.
Maryland Rep. Donna F. Edwards will speak at the forum, along with Chief Technologist Bobby Braun and other agency officials. Topics to be discussed include transferring and commercializing NASA technology and how new technologies are developed.
