NWS: Severe thunderstorm warning for Northern Virginia

The National Weather Service called off a severe thunderstorm warning before 4 p.m. that had been issued for the following areas in Northern Virginia: northern Fauquier County, eastern Warren County, southern Loudoun County, northwestern Prince William County until 4 p.m. EDT.
At 3:13 p.m. Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. This storm was located near Delaplane or 7 miles west of St. Louis and moving east at 15 mph.
