Odd smell reported in Arlington, Foggy Bottom
Reports of a strong sulfur odor are coming in from Arlington to Foggy Bottom.
D.C. Fire officials say tests for hazardous materials have come back negative. Fire officials “believe Army Corps of Engineers drained a catch basin, resulting in stink.”
D.C. Fire and Arlington Fire officials say they are getting calls about the smell. Fire officials are working with D.C. Water to determine where the odor is coming from and early on suspeced a drain basin in Georgetown.
