P.G. County sheriff's deputy arrested
An off-duty Prince George’s County sheriff’s deputy was arrested Sunday on multiple charges after she was allegedly in a fight with another woman in Ocean City.
Ocean City police arrested Jennifer Nicole Douglas, 26, on charges of first degree assault, misdemeanor second degree assault and misdemeanor reckless endangerment.
Police said Douglas got into a fight with another woman over a set of car keys in the 200 block of Baltimore Avenue. During the fight, Douglas is accused of pulling out a handgun and pointing it at the other woman’s head, police said.
She was arrested a short time later.
The Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Department has suspended Douglas without pay and has opened an internal investigation.
"This is standard procedure in cases where one of our members is facing criminal charges,” said Mark Spencer, inspector general in the office of the sheriff.
