Protest planned outside Rep. Frank Wolfe’s Herndon office
August 18, 2011 - 10:43 am
Unemployed workers and community members from D.C. and Northern Virginia plan to hold a protest outside Rep. Frank Wolfe’s office in Herndon.
Over 200 people are expected to rally in the 13800 block of Park Center Road around 2 p.m. Thursday.
They’re upset over the lack of jobs available, and claim that Rep. Wolfe is “protecting tax breaks for CEOs and corporations.”
In a statement released Thursday, Kendall Fells, OurDC campaign director, said, “Rep. Wolf and the other politicians only seem to be interested in protecting tax breaks for CEOs and cutting Medicare. These days, “cutting the budget” just seems like Washington-speak for “killing jobs.”
