UPDATE: A Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for Frederick, Montgomery and Prince George's Counties in Maryland until 1:00 a.m.
The National Weather Service issued - and soon thereafter cancelled - a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for southwestern Montgomery County in Maryland and southeastern Loudoun County and northwestern Fairfax County in Northern Virginia until 10:00 pm EDT.
At 9:13 pm edt Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph.
This storm was located near lansdowne and moving southeast at 15 mph.
