Squirrel causes power outage in Arlington
August 17, 2011 - 06:07 pm
About 9,300 Dominion Power customers are without power in Arlington because of a squirrel.
Dominion Spokesperson Jim Norvelle says a squirrel got into an area of the substation "where it wasn't supposed to be," causing a number of different circuits to go out.
Norvelle says those circuits are being restored one by one and they expect all customers to be back in service by 7 p.m.
