Stephen Strasburg to pitch Friday night in Potomac
Fans will not have to wait long to see Stephen Strasburg take the hill again.
The Washingtion Nationals announced late Tuesday that Strasburg, who pitched for the first time since Tommy John surgery this past Sunday in Hagerstown, will make another rehab appearance with the Potomac Nationals on Friday night in Woodbridge.
Strasburg is scheduled to pitch three innings in the game, and then an additional 45 minutes of throwing in a side session.
Strasburg will start for Potomac against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans at the game, which starts at 5 p.m.
The first 2,000 fans through the gate will receive a raffle ticket and a chance to win Strasburg's game-worn, autographed jersey.
On Sunday, Strasburg scattered one run and three hits over two innings for the Suns. 25 of his 31 pitches were strikes.
