Sterling party shooting injures one
August 6, 2011 - 10:02 am
Loudoun County Sheriff's officials are investigating what may have led to a shooting at a party in Sterling early Saturday morning.
Authorities responded to reports of a shooting on Chippoaks Forest Circle at about 5 a.m. to find a group of young adults at a party. They say an altercation had occurred and a gun may have been accidentally fired.
The bullet ricocheted and struck one of the people at the party. The victim was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The sheriff's emergency response team was brought in as a precaution because occupants and party goers were not being cooperative with investigators.
