Suspect sought in Laurel hotel robbery

Anne Arundel County police are investigating a robbery of a hotel in Laurel.
Authorities say a man entered the Red Crown Inn, located in the 3400 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road, shortly before 4 a.m. on July 26, approached a clerk and implied that he had a weapon. The suspect demanded money, then fled on foot with the cash.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5'8", weighing about 200 pounds with a dark complexion and possible scars on his back. He was wearing a dark shirt over his face, blue jeans, white socks and not wearing a shirt or shoes.
Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call police at 410-222-3432 (3566).
