Teenage girl injured in house fire
D.C. Firefighters rescued a teenage girl from a burning house in Southwest Monday evening. It happened around 7 p.m. in the 4000 block of 1st Street.
A fire official says the teen has been taken to an area hospital suffering from smoke inhalation. Two other adults who live in the end of the row townhouse escaped. Fire officials say they have has been transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The cause is under investigation.
