Thomas Washington: Guilty of drug charges

A jury Thursday found a 53-year-old D.C. man guilty of operating a large-scale drug operation in NE D.C.
Thomas Washington was found guilty of possession with intent to distribute at least 28 grams of cocaine base, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a firearm and ammunition by a person previously convicted of a crime punishable by a term exceeding one year in prison, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense.
He’s set to be sentenced on Oct. 21.
Authorities said police served a warrant on a residence in the 3000 block of Yost Place NE and found 129 grams of crack cocaine, one kilogram of marijuana, firearms and photos of Washington, including his driver’s license.
