Washington Redskins: Redskins cut Malcolm Kelly
(AP, ABC7) Oft-injured receiver Malcolm Kelly has been released by the Washington Redskins.
Kelly received an injury settlement Tuesday as the Redskins made the first round of cuts to get the roster down to 80 players.
Kelly was a second-round pick from Oklahoma in 2008, but he was slowed by knee and ankle injuries his rookie season and missed all of last year with a pulled hamstring.
This year, Kelly has been sidelined since the first week of training camp with an injured right foot. He did not play in the first three preseason games.
Kelly appeared in only 21 games for the Redskins, catching 28 passes for 365 yards and no touchdowns.
Here's a list of players waived.
DB Dante Barnes
QB Ben Chappell
OL Xavier Fulton
DB Tyrone Grant
WR Malcolm Kelly (injured)
LB Eric McBride
OL Corey O’Daniel
K Clint Stitser
TE Joe Torchia
