William Faison arrested, charged with killing Jeffrey Yarnell Covington

A 21-year-old Southeast man has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder while armed in the death of Jeffrey Yarnell Covington, police stated.
Police arrested William Faison of Southeast D.C. on Tuesday afternoon. He is charged with shooting Covington in the 600 block of 46th Place Southeast on July 2.
Police responded to a shooting at about 1:30 a.m. that Saturday. At the scene, they found the 19-year-old Covington of Upper Marlboro, Md., with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
