Woman arrested for taping child's mouth shut
A woman who allegedly taped a child's mouth shut to keep her from crying was arrested Wednesday, according to police.
Kristina Leigh Moore, also known as Christina Johnson, of the 9200 block of Hood Road, was charged with child abuse, according to a release from Manassas City Police.
Officers were called to the home by people who claimed they had been assaulted by Moore.
The people said they confronted Moore on Wednesday due to an incident on July 30 where she allegedly taped an infant family member's mouth shut to prevent her from crying, the release said.
They said Moore became angry and attacked them.
Moore is being held at the Prince William Adult Detention Center without bond. She is slated to appear in court in October.
