Amtrak cancels Saturday service to Richmond, Newport News

Due to flooding between Lorton and Alexandria, Amtrak has canceled Saturday morning trains to and from Washington and Richmond/Newport News, Va.
Passengers with travel plans through this area later in the day should check train status on Amtrak.com, visiting Amtrak.com/alerts or by calling 800-USA-RAIL.
Still scheduled to operate on Saturday is Amtrak Virginia Northeast Regional service to and from Lynchburg, the Crescent (Trains 19 & 20) to and from New York and New Orleans via Lynchburg, and the Auto Train (Trains 52 & 53) to and from Sanford, Fla., and Lorton.
