CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Authorities say the man who opened fire on a table of uniformed National Guard members at a Nevada restaurant had two guns in addition to the AK-47 he used in the rampage, but he left them in his vehicle.

The shooting Tuesday morning at a Carson City IHOP left four people dead and eight wounded. Authorities say the gunman, 32-year-old Eduardo Sencion of Carson City, also shot himself in the head and died at a hospital.

Carson City Sheriff Kenny Furlong says Sencion was born in Mexico and was in the U.S. under a valid U.S. passport.

He says investigators found another rifle and a pistol in the minivan that Sencion drove to the restaurant.

Furlong says the motive in the shooting spree remains unclear, but family members say Sencion had mental issues. Sencion had never been in the military and had no known affiliation with anyone at the restaurant.
