Chain Bridge closes this weekend

Get ready to alter your travel plans.
The Chain Bridge will close at 8 p.m. Friday to allow District of Columbia transportation crews to conduct structural repairs under the bridge deck.
The bridge will reopen Monday at 5 a.m. The work is scheduled to continue through mid-December.
Drivers are advised to use alternate routes including the Key, Roosevelt, Memorial and 14th Street bridges. The Chain Bridge will also be closed to cyclists and pedestrians.
