Fairfax police seek help in Franconia abduction
September 4, 2011 - 06:42 pm
FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) - Fairfax County police are asking for the public's help in finding the person who took a 5-year-old girl from her home as Hurricane Irene approached the area.
Fairfax County Police spokeswoman Lucy Caldwell told WTOP that even though a week has passed, investigators are hoping someone who may have been out of town, or noticed something later can be helpful.
Police say the girl was taken from her bed and assaulted on Aug. 27, but later returned home.
