Giordano appeal denied in Aruba missing Robyn Gardner case
September 7, 2011 - 09:38 am
ORANJESTAD, Aruba (AP) - Gary Giordano, the Maryland businessman accused of killing Robyn Gardner in Aruba, has had his appeal to be released denied, CNN reports.
He will continue to be held for 60 days, as Aruban authorities ordered last week.
A spokeswoman for the Aruban prosecutors office said earlier that authorities are confident they have enough evidence to continue holding Gary Giordano on the Dutch Caribbean island.
Giordano sought to overturn an Aug. 31 ruling that ordered him held 60 more days as a suspect in the death of Robyn Gardner.
Giordano says the 35-year-old woman from Frederick, Maryland, was swept out to sea while snorkeling.
