Isaiah Sheffield shot, killed early Saturday morning in Northeast D.C.
Isaiah Sheffield was shot and killed early Saturday morning in Northeast Washington.
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch are investigating the homicide which occurred in the 1100 block of 21st Street, NE.
At approximately 1:45 am, units from the Fifth District responded to the 1100 block of 21st Street, NE for the sounds of gunshots. Upon arriving on the scene, they found Sheffield, 24, lying on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound.
DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
