Johnny D. Guillen Pimentel identified as Fairfax butt slasher suspect
Fairfax County Police say they have identified a man suspected in the slashing of at least nine woman at retail stores in the county since February.
The suspect has been identified as 40-year-old Johnny D. Guillen Pimentel. He is believed to be the suspect in at least one of the assaults that took place during the summer.
Although no arrest has been made, detectives have obtained a warrant but say he may have left the area already.
Police believe Pimentel may be driving a blue, 2003 Honda Civic bearing a Virginia tag KLX2689.
A task force created by the department was key in identifying the suspect, police say.
For months, detectives searched for a heavy-set Hispanic male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, in his later 20s or early 30s. He wore white shorts and a short-sleeved shirt in a similar assault on July 25.
Since February, a total of nine cases have been reported. In each incident, the victims are in their teens to early 20s, all shopping in malls or shopping centers from Tysons Corner to Chantilly, all inside stores that mostly cater to women's fashions.
